Focus Signal Privacy Policy

Focus Signal is designed to help you protect your focus without ads, tracking, or unnecessary data collection.

Overview

Focus Signal does not use third-party advertising SDKs, third-party analytics SDKs, public leaderboards, social feeds, or a developer-operated account system.

The app stores your focus data so it can show your focus history, Focus Momentum, Focus Signal, focus routines, challenges, widgets, Live Activities, and recovery state.

Data Stored by the App

Focus Signal may store the following data on your device:

• Focus run start and end times
• Focus run duration
• Focus Momentum earned during a run
• Focus Signal before and after a run
• Daily focus statistics
• Recent run history
• Optional post-run focus reviews
• Focus Streak and weekly Focus Momentum goal progress
• Break-reminder settings and completed routine metrics, such as focused time, break time, and focus stretches
• Current and completed focus challenges, challenge progress, and challenge rewards
• App settings, such as Keep Screen Awake and break rhythm
• Active run recovery state
• Widget and Live Activity display snapshots
• Onboarding completion state

iCloud Sync

If iCloud is available on your device, Focus Signal can sync completed focus history, daily stats, settings, routine metrics, focus reviews, and completed challenge history through your private iCloud account.

This sync is handled through Apple's iCloud and CloudKit systems. Focus Signal does not operate its own server for your focus history.

If iCloud is unavailable, Focus Signal continues to work locally on your device.

Live Activities and Widgets

Focus Signal uses local snapshots so Live Activities, Dynamic Island, Lock Screen widgets, and Home Screen widgets can display focus information.

These snapshots are used for display and recovery. They are stored locally in the app's shared App Group container.

Data We Do Not Collect

Focus Signal does not collect:

• Location
• Contacts
• Photos or videos
• Camera or microphone data
• Health data
• Browsing history
• Search history
• Advertising identifiers for tracking
• Data for third-party advertising
• Data for third-party analytics

Tracking

Focus Signal does not track you across apps or websites owned by other companies.

Focus Signal does not sell your data.

Third Parties

Focus Signal does not include third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.

Apple may process data as part of iCloud, App Store, TestFlight, crash reporting, payment, and operating system services. Apple's handling of that data is governed by Apple's own privacy policies and user settings.

Data Retention and Deletion

Focus Signal stores app data on your device and, when available, in your private iCloud account.

You can remove local app data by deleting the app from your device. iCloud-synced app data may be managed through your device and iCloud settings.

Focus Signal does not currently provide a developer-operated account deletion flow because the app does not create developer-operated accounts.

Children

Focus Signal is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

This privacy policy may be updated if Focus Signal's features or data practices change.
